Kean Vice President of Administration Carlos Rodriguez, Ed.D., highlighted the importance of the network in enhancing support services for Latino students, stating, “It is great to see Kean University have a seat at the table alongside other distinguished Hispanic-Serving Institutions committed to this critical work.”

Sarita Brown, the co-founder and president of Excelencia in Education, commended institutional leaders focused on serving Latino students, stating, “Institutional leadership focused on intentionally serving Latino students is the hallmark of the presidents and chancellors in this network.”

Kean University, as a designated Hispanic-Serving Institution, offers specialized programs and conducts research dedicated to boosting the success of Latino students. With nearly 39% of Kean USA students being Hispanic, the university is proud to join the Presidents for Latino Student Success network to further strengthen its position as a leading institution for the Latino community.

The Presidents for Latino Student Success network, formed by Excelencia in Education, aims to support institutional leaders in advancing Latino student success in higher education. This partnership will allow Kean University to leverage expertise and resources to enhance support services and high-impact practices for Latino students, ultimately fostering a greater sense of belonging and improving retention and graduation rates.

The collaboration with the network represents an important step forward in Kean University's commitment to serving the needs of the Latino community and developing the next generation of Latino leaders.
